Where to go to find out what's on in Bournemouth.
Sometimes it's a bit hard to know where to go to get info about what's going on in Bournemouth. To help you find out all the things that are going on we've made a list of good places to look! This is by no means an exhaustive list - if you know any places to look then add them in the comments!
Note to people who put on cool events: These are also excellent places to list your shows, gigs, exhibitions etc that are also highly rated on Google searches. When you're searching for websites to advertise your events then make sure these ones are on your list!
Bournemouth Tourism This is Bournemouth Council's official tourism website. The website has events listing, accommodation & restaurant listings and travel advice.
This website covers all your 'what to do' bases. They list food festivals, gigs, car boot sales, marathons, nature walks, fireworks displays and oodles more.
Another great way to find out about things to do in Bournemouth. Bournemouth News & Info has a little bit more of a focus on nightlife, so if you're looking for something to do on a Saturday night then give it a look!
If you want to know about creative events happening in the area then check out Arts Bournemouth (Arts by the Sea Festival) and the Bournemouth Emerging Arts Fringe. Both of these groups organise festivals (Arts Bournemouth for great international and touring work and BEAF for the fantastic local arts scene) and both have a wealth of knowledge of what's going on in the area.
Meet Up is a fantastic tool, if you haven't come across it yet then you should definitely make it your next port of call! Meet Up is an online tool for people with common interests to...well... meet up! There are writing groups, music groups, singles groups, rambling groups, craft groups... and the list goes on! There are plenty of groups in Bournemouth - so many that we might do a separate post solely dedicated to meet ups!
There are a plethora of Facebook groups dedicated to every possible common interest. Looking for creative events in Bournemouth? Fancy finding out where the best Drum&Base gigs are? Wondered what the best family friendly spots are? There will probably be a Facebook group that can help you. Rather than listing them all, go and have a play with the search engine on Facebook!
